CENTER OF THE NATION RUSHMORE FUTURITY RULES AND INFORMATION
Forms are at the bottom of these rules....
The CON Rushmore Futurity will allow the breeder to enroll their mare/mares and the breeder may breed to the stallion of their choice. Only the foals from enrolled mares will be eligible for this futurity rather than all babies sired by any particular stallion. There will still be a Stallions stakes Futurity as well see above enrollemnt.
Rules:
1) Mare/mares must be enrolled by April 15, 2010 and December 15th for all subsequent years or prior to the birth of the foal whichever is eariler. Mare enrollment fee is $50. Enrollment form and a copy of the mare's registration papers must be included with the payment.
2) If you have not already paid your CONQHA membership, that must also be included iwth the enrollment form and a copy of the mare's registration.
3) A mare acquired after the enrollment deadline may be enrolled without any late fee provided she has not already foaled and the registration papers showng the date of transfer are included with the enrollment form.
4) All mare nominators will receive a Nomination Certificate by return mail. This certificate will list the mare, sire and nominator.
5) All Mare Nominators MUST be CONQHA members. If memberships are not paid prior to the date that the mare nomination or sustaining fees are due then they must be included with those payments.
6) For every 4 paid enrollments in a given year, the nominator will be allowed to enroll a 5th mare free.
7) Once the foal is born it has automatic eligibility in the CON Rushmore Futurity. Once papers aer received by the owner/nominator a coy must be sent to the Futurity Committee along with the Nomination Certificate. The certificate will be stamped and returned. A foal's eligibility will be transferrable shoud that foal be sold. The seller must return the Nomination Certificate, a copy of the transfer reort and $10 for processing to the Futurity Committee. A new certificate will then be issued to the new owner.
8) Each eligible foal must have sustaining fees paid yearly. These fees will be on a sliding scale with lowest fees to weanlings, somewhat higher fees toyearlings, and increasing as the foal becomes riding age. This is the only way to creat greater payouts for these foals over the years of eligibility.
Sustaining Fees are as follows: Weanlings $ 20.00 * Yearlings $30.00
2 Year Olds $ 50.00 * 3 Year Olds $70.00
4 Year Olds $100.00
The propsed sustaing fees and their increasing rates wil allow for better payouts to our members as well as promote the showing of horses beyond their weanling to two year old years.
9) Sustaining fees are due by June 15th of foaling year and June 1st in all subsequent years. Any colts not shown in a given year must still have a sustaining fee paid. Failure to do so will mean loss of eligiblity. Should a sustaining date be missed, the fee will double for that foal for that year. There is a 60 day grace period for the double fee. After that date, the foal is NOT eligible.
10) For those colts showing, there will be a futurity entry fee of $75.00 due on July 1st of that year. Late entries will be double the entry fee and may be made up to the day before the futurity begins in any given year. As with the OPEN Futurity, there is no guarantee that prizes will be available at the show for any horse entered after the July 1st date. Any prizes won will be mailed later at the owners expense. Late entries will also nto be guaranteed a listing in the futurity program.
SEE BELOW FOR ENTRY FORMS.
CENTER OF THE NATION RUSHMORE REINING SLOT CLASSES
For our reining members, entering the futurities has been a less than optimal program. The
board has decided to remove reining from the new CON Rushomore futurity Program and institute Junior and Senior slot classes. There will still be the opportunity to enter any reiner in any of the OPEN Futurity Classes, however the greater monies available with the slot classes offer our reining members a substantial return on their investment.
The slot classes for 2010 will be at a cost of $250.00 slot with entries due by August 1, 2010. Late entries will be allowed up to the night before with a late fee of $75.00. Classes will be Junior Reining and Senior Reining and will be run concurrently with the corresponding AQHA classes. Only 10% of each entry ($25.00) will be held back for the office charges with the othe 90% being jackpotetd back to the classes. Prizes will be awarded through 3rd place and payouts will follow the same rules as all othe CON Futurity classes, ie membership etc.
All payouts will be mailed following the end of the Central States Fair Shows. No payment on the day of the show.
Below are the attached forms that you may print and send. Be sure to place your mouse marker on each form individually to print it. Use the right click and ask to print picture. It will only print one form at a time. You can also contact the Futurity secretary at adair@rhapsodyfarmqh.com or 0636710@gmail.com .
